Musa Masala on Wild Med Wednesday: Let’s Talk Austere Dentistry with Dr. Anumesh Dahal
Musa Masala was so honored to be on the Wild Med Wednesday zoom lecture series for October. Founded by Jeena Fuller, PA, FAWM, Wild Med Wednesday is a speaker series that allows Fellowship of Wilderness Medicine continuing education credits to students and residents through the Wilderness Medical Society.
The series is hosted by students of the Yale School of Medicine Online Physician Assistant Program. The program is free to anyone and is an important asset to anyone interested in wilderness medicine or medicine in austere environments. The topic of the program was Austere and Basic Dentistry at the Wongchhu Sherpa Memorial Hospital. Featured live from Nepal was our head of our dental camps, Dr. Anumesh Dahal. He spoke about dental kits for austere locations and possible dental issues and emergencies that can present in the backcountry. Mike Ji from Musa Masala spoke briefly on the introduction of the dental camps held at the Wongchhu Sherpa Memorial Hospital and about Musa Masala.
